Corporate Auditor - Hybrid

Job Description Job Summary: The Corporate Auditor will test the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls as part of Sarbanes Oxley compliance procedures. The Corporate Auditor will also assist with executing audit test steps for operational audits. This position is an integral part of Best Buy's Internal Audit team, providing independent assurance, in collaboration with business owners across the enterprise. Using knowledge of risk and controls, this individual will test the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls as part of Sarbanes Oxley compliance procedures. This individual will also assist with executing audit test steps for operational and financial audits. This role will work across all areas of the business and have the opportunity to meet with individuals and learn about functions ranging from retail operations, accounting, and beyond. Key Responsibilities: Perform SOX internal control compliance testing for the Company's financial and control environment controls Perform detailed test procedures for operational audits Work with business owners to document processes. Communicate findings with business owners, where appropriate Perform audit follow-up to ensure the business owner has completed agreed upon action plans and mitigated the risk Minimum Requirements: 6 months or more of experience in an Accounting, Finance, Public Accounting or Internal Audit role Must have exposure to and basic knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley and or internal controls Basic proficiency using Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Teams, Access, Excel) Travel up to 15% Preferred Experience: Bachelor's Degree or 3+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Internal Audit, Economics, Business, or related field. 12-18 months of SOX testing or Internal control testing Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Teams, Access, Excel)
