Job Details
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Process invoices and employee expense reports in a timely and efficient manner. Track unpaid invoices; code expenses to the correct accounts and cost centers; and obtain authorized signatures as required by Finance procedures.
Maintain credit card, expense report approval, and invoice approval limits as described by Finance procedures. Maintain vendor files. Review outstanding credit card transactions and follow up with employees for timely processing.
Order, track and distribute loan disbursement checks and accounts payable checks.
Perform other accounting functions. Track various expenses for management and Board reporting purposes as requested. Provide backup as needed for others on the team. Complete other tasks as assigned.
Provide training and guidance to employees. Assist with onboarding activities for employees and directors regarding Accounts Payable related topics.
Perform internal controls over financial reporting and adhere to documentation standards to support our control environment.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Associate degree (AA) in accounting or related field and/or experience equivalent to the degree.
Minimum of two years of data entry experience or equivalent.
Previous experience in accounts payable processing is preferred.
Speed and accuracy in data entry.
Demonstrated verbal/written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, including detail orientation.
Proven customer service skills and effective team skills.
Ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
Discretion is required in handling confidential matters.
