Job Summary The Lease Operator is responsible for the overall daily operation and maintenance for a specified group of oil and gas wells and/or disposal facilities. The Operator II will demonstrate intermediate lease operator skills through increased troubleshooting and problem-solving. Performs a range of straightforward assignments. Contributes to tasks or projects within a team, function, or work group. Practical working knowledge of a technical or specialty area. Exercises independent judgment in accordance with policies, procedures, techniques, relying on limited experience to plan and accomplish work. Works under a moderate level of supervision. Dependent upon business need and candidate's home location, position will report to one of the following offices: Killdeer, ND; Watford City, ND; Epping, ND; Tioga, ND; Sidney, MT; Baker, MT; Buffalo, SD; Douglas, WY. Duties and Responsibilities Maintain compliance with company HSE policies and demonstrate the ability to respond quickly and confidently to safety and environmental events Requires the operation of Company vehicles. Operator must drive safely to and from wells and well sites, maintain a clean driving record and adhere to Company policies Possess the right and obligation to stop work if unsafe conditions exist Perform operational checks of assigned wells, equipment, and facilities. Measure and record production. Ensure accuracy of data received and entered Ensure oil, water and gas meets pipeline specifications Coordinate oil sales, water disposal, and gas sales Must be knowledgeable with the operation of all equipment on most routes or facilities Diagnose and resolve production related issues under general supervision while consulting with the appropriate Foreman and Production Tech Perform routine repairs and maintenance on all equipment. Communicate corrective maintenance needs if unable to complete on own Continue to develop leadership skills and emotional intelligence while maintaining a positive attitude May train new or less experienced Lease Operators Personal commitment to inclusion and diversity Assist the appropriate Foreman with minimizing LOE costs Develop and maintain positive relationships with government officials, landowners, and third-party contractors Take pride in personal appearance and the appearance of CLR locations, equipment, and vehicles including general upkeep and maintenance Other duties as assigned. Manages Conflict - Navigates and resolves conflict situations effectively. Basic math skills. Intermediate computer skills to include CLR specific software Proven team player. Required Qualifications High School diploma (or GED). 2+ years of Lease Operator or relevant experience. Valid Driver's License. May require the ability to pass a respiratory fit test. An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test. Preferred Qualifications Housing within 50 miles of the assigned area of operation. Physical Requirements Ability to stoop, stand, walk, pull, carry instruments, and climb stairs and ladders for extended period of time. Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs. Ability to work overhead for extended periods of time. Ability to perform fine manipulations with hands and fingers. Capable of driving distances of 150 miles or more per day during all types of weather conditions. Ability to one arm carry up to 25lbs. without assistance. Regular bending, crouching, pulling, and kneeling to check equipment and gauges. Must be able to exert up to 50lbs. of force occasionally and up to 20lbs. frequently to move or manipulate objects. Ability to work significant amounts of time as required in completing job responsibilities. Working environment includes exposure to extremely loud noises in field, hazardous chemicals, and hydrocarbons that may be under extreme pressure for which appropriate safety measures are required. Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
