Key Responsibilities
  • Operate all department machinery and equipment including, but not limited to dump trucks, roll-off trucks, front end loaders, graders, street sweeper, etc. to perform a variety of operations, e.g. haul Foundry waste, Pottery cull, sand, recyclables, wood waste, trash, etc.
  • Be capable of using Computerized Maintenance Management software to create work notifications, look-up and order parts, print work orders, and enter time confirmations.
  • Load and unload a large variety of incoming/outgoing materials and/or equipment.
  • Plow snow and assist in other snow removal operations.
  • Grade and maintain roadways.
  • As required assist in switching railroad cars. Clean, lubricate and adjust rail switches as needed.
  • Movement of items that require minor disassembly/assembly for transport.
  • Assists with unloading trash carts and return back to designated areas.
  • Operate a power fork truck as needed to transport miscellaneous materials, parts, etc. on the company premises using proper rig and sling methods. (Includes unloading brass bar stock).
  • Operation of all Recycle Center equipment and proper record keeping.
  • Make deliveries of oils, greases, solvents, chemicals, propane tanks, and other supplies to production and maintenance departments.
  • Fill equipment with fuel, check oil, and perform routine equipment checks as required to maintain equipment.
  • Selected Equipment Operators- Operate sewer/pipeline cleaning equipment, pipeline video equipment and pressure washers. This work will include all process lines, sanitary and storm sewers. This work will only be done by personnel properly trained to do this type of work.
  • Selected Equipment Operators- Obtain and
    maintain a valid Wisconsin Landfill Operators Certification to qualify for
    working within the Kohler Co. Twin Oakes Landfill.

Skills/Requirements
  • 18+ years old
  • High school diploma/GED equivalent required
  • Must have Wisconsin Commercial Driver's License. (Class B minimum)
  • Competency demonstrated through technical testing
  • Ability to communicate effectively for manufacturing production processes
  • Physical ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to follow all safety policies and procedures
