Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential duties and responsibilities of this job are included but not limited to this job description - other tasks may be assigned and expected to be performed.

  • Sets up and operate all machines in the work area - manual lathes, manual milling machine, precision grinding machine, and other miscellaneous equipment.
  • Change fixture and tooling for new and existing product
  • Understand and operate all inspection equipment
  • Performs machining operation with ordinary tolerances or requirements
  • Maintain machine equipment and does general housekeeping
  • Conducts daily activities according to documented quality system procedures and work instructions
  • Identifies and reports non-conformity in product and quality system according to procedure
  • Able to identify, recommend and implement the proper machining process or changes to the process
  • Deburr machined parts properly for safe handling, meeting print specifications or company standards
Requirements:
  • Minimum of two years of job related experience in machine shop environment
  • Knowledge of shop mathematics and a high degree of accuracy
  • Understands blue prints and written specifications
  • Flexibility to shift between varying tasks while maintaining the highest levels of productivity and quality
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Shift flexibility, with the ability to work overtime as needed
  • Demonstrated excellent problem solving and communication skills
  • Self-motivated with ability to work effectively under minimum supervision
