Wind River Financial is a Madison, WI based payments processing company looking to expand our sales team and customer base in northwestern Wisconsin, with a target market of the Eau Claire, WI to Twin Cities corridor. This position will work with financial institutions to generate and follow up on referral leads as well as source direct sales lead opportunities.


The salesperson we hire will work from their home in the target market but be connected to and expected to spend time in our Madison office occasionally for meetings, training and sales or company-related events. Travel within the target market will be necessary, with limited overnight travel as needed.


As a growing company with a great culture, we're looking for a Sales Representative who's results-focused and passionate about sales. This position offers:


  • Base pay of up to $50k + Uncapped Commissions.
  • Expected first full year compensation (base + commission) of $70k to $80k+.
  • Second year compensation expectation would be $100k+

This position is rewarding, but it isn't easy. If you dislike prospecting, this isn't the position for you. If you prefer a highly structured work-environment where you'll be told what to do and when to do it, this will not be a good fit. Responsibilities:


  • Meet or exceed assigned sales objectives and targets.
  • Effectively develop business through pursuit of referrals from assigned referral partners, third party relationships, and self-sourced leads.
  • Qualify opportunities to maximize leads and convert those leads to closed sales.
  • Employ consultative sales approach to uncover and solve for customer needs.
  • Follow established sales processes and documentation standards.
  • Contribute to development of marketing plans in assigned market/s.
  • Create and deliver effective customer proposals and presentations.


Minimum Requirements:


  • 4-year degree with 2 years of B2B sales experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Record of success selling intangibles
  • Solid experience with prospecting, cold calling, and lead generation.
  • Knowledge of sales practices and principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of financial services industry helpful.
