Senior Electrical Engineer
Wm. P. Young Co., a non-affiliated company of Plastipak Packaging, Inc. is seeking a motivated, driven, Senior Electrical Engineer who is looking to accelerate their career growth. In this role, Senior Electrical Engineer will design, develop, and implement electrical control systems associated with packaging industry machines. The Senior Electrical Engineer is a core member of the electrical engineering team and will significant design input.

You Will:
Responsible for the design and development of electrical and electromechanical systems by conducting research while applying electrical engineering principles.
Draw and maintain electrical schematics using AutoCAD.
Assist with the manufacturing of electrical control systems
Design, implement and debug PLC programs
Partner in the development and implementation of Human-Machine Interface software
Preparation of machine operator manuals for custom machines
Provide engineering information by answering questions and requests
Comply with current governmental and safety regulations
Provide technical training and mentor new team members
Act as the subject matter expert for the department
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field
7 years of relevant experience
Advanced knowledge of electrical schematics, machine tool wiring, and panels
Experience level knowledge of electrical theory required
Experience with Machine Vision is preferred
Advanced experience with PLC programming
Good understanding of troubleshooting machine control systems
Ability to prepare, read, and interpret written reports, instructions, procedures, and guidelines
Ability to travel 20%
