Sheet Feed Press Assistant - Direct Hire

Take your career to the next level with this role in Manufacturing! Doherty Staffing is partnering with a leading commercial printer based in Minnesota. We are looking for candidates for Sheet Feed Press Assistant positions on all shifts. Compensation for these direct hire opportunities is $18.00-$28.00 per hour, depending on shift. Interested? Shift Times:

• A & B Shift Days - 7:00am-7:00pm, 2 days on 2 days off (includes every other weekend)
• C (7:00pm-7:00am Every-other Saturday, all Sundays-Tuesdays)
• D Shift Night (7:00pm-7:00am Wednesday-Friday and every-other Saturday)
• ALL SHIFTS are 36 hours one week, 48 hours the next (BUILT-IN OVERTIME PAY!)

What a Sheet Feed Press Assistant will do:

• Prepare the press for a run by verifying job specs and setting up the press accordingly
• Inspect the fountain solution, inking systems, and rolls of paper
• Maintain proper inventory of paper, along with completing paperwork and records
• Ensure that the roll of paper is properly unwrapped, mounted, and ready to be spliced
• Monitor the flow of paper throughout the run

What you need to be a Sheet Feed Press Assistant:

• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to read and follow job specifications to determine press set-up materials needed to run the job successfully
• Follow instructions to operate equipment safely and produce the desired product
• Willingness to work weekend overtime as needed
• Ability to frequently lift up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
