Machinist/Tool & Die Maker, Direct Hire

Doherty is currently partnering with a global manufacturing company in located in Anoka, MN. We are seeking a Machinist/Tool & Die Maker for a great direct hire opportunity, openings on both 1 st and 2 nd shift! Compensation is based on qualifications and is competitive.

Machinist/Tool & Die Maker Main Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate precision parts, fixtures, and gauges from samples, prints, drawings, sketches, and oral instruction using mills, lathes, drill presses, surface grinders, and other shop tools.

  • Assist the operations team by optimizing and maintaining production equipment.

  • Assist contractors/manufactures in new equipment installation and start-up by troubleshooting, fabricating and/or modifying parts.

    • Machinist/Tool & Die Maker Key Requirements/Qualifications:

    • Experience is maintenance or machine shop performing setups and operation of manual mills and lathes, drill presses, surface grinders, and band saws.

    • Experience in reading and understanding mechanical prints.

    • Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, depth micrometers, height gauges, and indicators.
