We have partnered with mid-sized US based company with a great track record of employee loyalty/strong employee tenure to help them hire a Senior Accountant for their growing team.


Summary


The Senior Accountant supports ensuring the completeness and accuracy of all transactions in the general ledger in accordance with US GAAP Accounting Standards. Key responsibilities for our Senior Accountant include monthly financial closings, corporate reporting, reconciliation, financial analysis, accounts payable support, working on special projects and responding to various ad hoc management requests.


Essential Responsibilities



  • Participate in month-end close activities, which include balancing sheet reconciliations, ad-hoc analyses, trial balance reviews, and financial statement preparation, while adhering to tight deadlines.

  • Uphold accounting policies and procedures, as well as identify areas for improvement.

  • Execute transactional-level tasks such as: vendor wires, bank recs, check batch management, employee reimbursements, company credit cards, etc.

  • Identify and improve account reconciliation, system enhancements, reports, and third-party consultant-relationships for efficiency.

  • Oversee all aspects of the accounting cycle of two of the company's business partners.

  • Assist with various external audits and prepare assigned schedules for the annual audits.

  • Lead projects, ad hoc analyses, creation of new reports, audit existing reports and other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks may be required from time to time.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related business or finance field

  • Active CPA license preferred

  • Four or more years of related work in finance and accounting (public accounting experience preferred)

  • Strong knowledge of ERP solutions

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills

  • High level of proficiency using Microsoft Office, especially Excel (e.g., vlookup, pivot tables, etc.)

  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills

Compensation - This is an exempt/salary position with a salary range of 85-95K.
