Primary responsibilities in AP: process vendor invoices, which includes 3-way match verification against receiving documents; reconcile vendor statements; accurately resolve invoice and billing issues with vendors; process vendor payment runs via electronic ach, check, and wire; manage vendor correspondence via email or telephone; meet processing and reporting deadlines.

Primary responsibilities in AR: generate invoices and statements to customers; post and apply payments and record deposits; accurately resolve invoice and payment discrepancies; perform collection activities for past due accounts; manage customer correspondence via email or telephone; meet processing and reporting deadlines.

Perform AP and AR functions for multiple entities using various ERP systems.

Assist with special projects as needed, which includes audit requests.

Communicate with both internal and external customers in a professional, courteous manner.

Other: maintain all established spreadsheets; ensure compliance with company metrics; maintain all required files/records; follow all company policies and procedures; work and communicate in a Shared Service environment; other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

Education: Any combination of education and experience that would provide the required knowledge and abilities. Associates Degree preferred. Must have prior experience in a similar role.

Licenses/Certifications: None required.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Basic accounting principles used in the performance of clerical and technical duties; methods and process of coding, verifying, balancing, and reconciling accounting records; basic mathematical principles; customer service skills; telephone etiquette; modern office procedures, methods and equipment including computers, and copiers; work under pressure with frequent interruptions.

Core Competencies: computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications; following all applicable federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations; understand and follow oral and written instructions; clear, concise communication skills both orally and in writing; establish and maintain effective working relationships both internally and externally.
