Sr. Business Analyst - Finance/Accounting Data

The Sr. BA - Finance/Accounting Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing complex data sets in order to ensure the SAP S/4HANA application has correct and complete finance and accounting data. This ideal candidate must have a strong financial and accounting background and the ability to validate data based on standard finance and accounting practices. This candidate must be highly analytical, detail-oriented with excellent task ownership and ability to follow through. The candidate must be highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint. This role is an integral part of a large SAP S/4HANA implementation for a global Fintech company.

Requirements

Team's go-to person for complex data analysis requests

Triage and complete ad hoc data requests as part of the ongoing SAP S/4HANA implementation (table extractions, table analysis, config analysis including valuation/translation, customers analysis, journal entry prep, etc.)

Manage discovery sessions to identify and document requirements

Assist with documenting and understanding data requirements

Analyze data to ensure the new environment is configured appropriately, and all data in the new environment is complete and correct

Perform light Project Management efforts such as coordinating working sessions, documenting meeting minutes and decisions, providing status updates progress and issues, and tracking and managing any identified risks and/or issues

Assist with delivering successful change management

Leverage advanced Excel functionality (vlookups, pivot tables, etc.) to perform the data analysis

Support Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle

Preferred Requirements

Education and Work Experience:

8+ years as a Functional Application Business Analyst

6+ years of strong data analytics experience

2+ years of Agile Methodologies desired

Experience with SAP S/4HANA projects desired

Bachelor's degree in Finance or Economics preferred

Project Management experience desired

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education

Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities

Demonstrated high aptitude with Microsoft Excel

Ability to quickly take on tasks and run with them

Excellent organizational and time-management skills

Self-sufficient, able to work with minimal supervision

Strong team collaboration skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written

Good understanding of change management methodology

Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple engagements and manage rapidly changing assignments in a team environment

Must enjoy working in a fast paced, high pressure environment

This role will be fully on site at company office
