Nobles Cooperative Electric (NCE), a rural electric cooperative in Worthington, MN, is currently accepting applications for a Chief Financial Officer. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic leader to fulfill the position of CFO. NCE serves over 6,800 members in Murray and Nobles counties. Annual revenues are in excess of $21 million. The cooperative employs 25 employees. The cooperative is financially solid and is proud of its teamwork environment. We are located in Worthington, MN, only 60 miles from Sioux Falls, SD. Entertainment offerings, festivals, concerts, fine dining and everything in between can be found in the smaller communities we serve and also in nearby Sioux Falls.

The CFO is an integral member of our five-person executive team reporting directly to the General Manager/CEO and has the overall management responsibility of all aspects of the financial and accounting functions of the Cooperative including but not limited to:  financial reporting, the long and short-range financial goals for the Cooperative, audits, budgeting, internal controls, cash management, taxes, insurance and risk management, inventory, and purchasing.

Qualifications

  • College graduate with bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. Training in human resource management is desirable.
  • Ability to plan and organize day-to-day financial, accounting, and billing functions of the cooperative.
  • Ability to create financial forecasts.
  • Ability to supervise and communicate effectively with office and related employees.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with members.
  • Adhere to cooperative principles.
