Your days will be filled with variety, ranging from spending time on the production floor identifying areas of improvement to running calculations at your desk or researching opportunities for future projects. You will have the opportunity to build lasting relationships with Production Associates, Engineering Technicians, and other Manufacturing Engineers as well as leadership and other key stakeholders.

Highlights of your role

  • Use Engineering principles and continuous improvement (CI) tools to support and/or lead efforts to establish the current state, develop the future state, communicate the future state vision, and implement processes based on process development/improvement project parameters
  • Support continuous improvement (CI) activities as part of process development and improvement
  • Support product development projects through active team participation
  • Support the development and execution of the manufacturing plan, including researching process solutions, labor requirements, SWP’s, ICIM routings, inventory planning, pilot run plan/support and simulation models
  • Establish a business case for and determine the equipment needs for both internal and external equipment acquisitions
  • Lead and/or support the machine acquisition process while overseeing and facilitation project activities, such as project schedules, planning and update meetings, communication with the Equipment/Acquisition Designer, external suppliers and the end customer
  • Develop and execute capital investment plans and budgets
  • Research solutions and provide budget information for projects
  • Develop project justification, cost analysis, and project schedules for AFE for capital plan execution and document then present for approval/closure
  • Lead a team through direct or indirect leadership and mentor other engineers and/or technicians
  • Attend and participate in department meetings, trade shows, and seminars
  • Provide technical support for process related issues, keeping project status updated with customers
  • Participate in various project teams

You’re a good fit if you have

  • 5-8 years of process development and process improvement experience
  • 5-8 years of experience with continuous improvement (CI) methodologies
