This position will manage, process, approve and inspect access, drainage, utility, construction and advertising permits; review, investigate and initiate resolution of right of way encroachments; oversee the provisions of MN Outdoor Control and the MN Junkyard Control Acts. Responsibilities include:
- Exercise supervisory authority so that applicable labor agreements and plans are equitably administered and employees under my jurisdiction will effectively perform assigned job duties to achieve the annual objectives of the section.
- Responsible for managing all district permits including but not limited to; utility, short form, long form, access, change of use, limited use, junkyards, and outdoor advertising.
- Assist the district right of way supervisor with ensuring projects are being delivered in a timely manner. Being knowledgeable with all activities associated to the permit process.
- Assist the right of way supervisor in reviewing and managing non-project property inquiries.
- Supervise and control encroachments in MnDOT Right of Ways. Participate and/or lead training, committees, and meetings. Stay fully informed of all technology (new and old) and be able to communicate it effectively to district staff. Conduct annual utility meetings and provide technical support.
