Columbia Grain International, LLC. is a long time established full-service grain company in the grain and pulses business. We are headquartered in Portland, Oregon and own/operate over 60 elevators and offices throughout WA, ID, MT, NE and ND to support our domestic and export sales program.

Position Description
The primary responsibility of the Agronomy Sales will be to assist the Senior Agronomist in the sales of agronomy products and services. Agronomy Sales will work with the other members of the team to work toward operational goals while maintaining quality and efficiencies.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities 
•    Advise growers/customers in current best management practices and recommend specific agronomic products.
•    Deliver product and conduct soil samples.
•    Develop and maintain relationships with both employees and customers.
•    Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads and executes individual customer sales strategies.
•    Executes sales calls with regular and prospective customers to solicit orders.
•    Adheres to pricing policies and credit terms.
•    Projects a positive attitude to customers and employees at all times.
•    Provides outstanding and courteous customer service.
•    Other duties assigned.
Skills, Knowledge, Education and Experience
•    Undergraduate degree in Agronomy or related field.
•    Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Agronomy and three (3) years in sales leadership. 
•    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
•    Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
•    Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
•    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
•    Basic knowledge of working with a computer and mechanical skills. 
•    Good work ethic (team environment, both safe and quality), efficient and willingness to perform all required work with good attendance.
