Position Description

The Custom Applicator and Operations role is responsible for operating and maintaining application equipment according to specifications. The Custom Applicator and Operations will work with the other members of the team to work toward operational goals while maintaining quality and efficiencies.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
•    Operates and maintains floaters and sprayers in a safe, efficient, and accurate manner.
•    Reads maps, follows directions, and operates machines utilizing GPS-guided monitors.
•    Provides accurate and efficient unloading and delivery of product.
•    Will have opportunities to be involved with some light trucking duties during non-peak times.

Skills, Knowledge, Education and Experience
•    High School diploma, GED, 1-3 months demonstrated industry experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•    Some application experience is required. Custom application experience is preferred.
•    Experience operating a Forklift & Skid-Steer/Loader.
•    Mechanical/welding abilities are a plus.
•    A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Class A License is a plus (CGI will help the right candidate acquire a CDL and applicator’s license)
•    Basic computer knowledge preferred.
•    Must have a “can-do” attitude and willingness to learn.
•    Demonstrated ability to work well with a team as well as individually.
•    Ability to work long hours and occasional weekends (seasonally).
Physical Requirements necessary to perform this job
•    The ability to lift 75 pounds regularly.
•    The ability to respond quickly to sounds.
•    The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
•    The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations.
•    The ability to safely climb ladders while carrying 40 pounds.
•    The ability to work in extreme weather.
•    The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day.
