Maintenance Manager

Job Summary

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing all installation, repair, and upkeep of our Wisconsin facility, as well as managing risk and improving equipment efficiency.

Essential Functions include:

  • Supervise maintenance technicians, designers and other personnel involved in the design, planning and development of maintenance projects as well as support personnel.
  • Maintain the machinery and building, planning repair activities, developing maintenance procedures, performing engineering support, budget management, and assigning schedules.
  • Collaborate frequently with other departments to complete projects and solve problems.
  • Review and approve all project plans and specifications; sign off on completion and appropriate intervals and upon completion of project.
  • Hire, train and mentor and manage the performance of maintenance technicians and other support personnel for the department.
  • Set and follow departmental and project-specific budgets, approving all expenditures.
  • Ensure all department workers adhere to the safety policies and procedures
  • Document and prepare department performance indicators, maintenance logs, and preventive maintenance tasks
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as professional and industry-specific standards and regulations.
  • Verify compliance with plans, industry and project standards, building codes, legal requirements and more.

Qualifications include:

  • 5-7 years of management experience in Maintenance or Engineering in a production environment.
  • BA/BS degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate a team
  • Strong organization and follow up skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and employees
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to utilize technology to streamline work and communicate with employees.
  • Demonstrates a positive, get the job done attitude and works well in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems.

Physical Requirements include:

  • Ability to work in a production environment with varying temperatures
  • Ability to occasionally work varying shifts
  • Consistent and reliable attendance
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and climbing
