Because of continuous growth, Cybertrol Engineering, a growing and dynamic industrial automation engineering firm, is seeking an experienced professional for a Project Manager role. This position is a great opportunity to be a key contributor to the success of our growing team.

Cybertrol creates and delivers custom-engineered automation hardware and software solutions to manufacturing customers throughout the upper Midwest and across the world. There is a very strong engineering culture that emphasizes both personal and professional growth along with a commitment to provide high-quality solutions, including: plant-wide automation, information and industrial IT infrastructure, custom control panel design and fabrication, and upgrades of obsolete automation systems. In the Project Manager role, you will combine your project management and customer relationships skills to achieve superior results that consistently exceed customer expectations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

In this role, you will have primary project management responsibility for multiple engineering projects. The project manager is responsible for project execution within the constraints of scope, schedule and budget, using Cybertrol systems to deliver successful projects that meet or exceed customer expectations. You will also work with a cross-functional team of engineers in order to deliver a comprehensive project to the customer. During these projects, you will become a trusted consultant with Cybertrol's customers.

Some examples of specific Project Manager responsibilities include:

  • Engage directly with the customer to develop a complete understanding of the project deliverables
  • Maintain customer contact throughout the life of the project
  • Assess and provide project status updates: progress, deadlines, deliverables, scope issues, schedule and cost
  • Ensure quality processes have been followed to deliver high quality hardware and software solutions
  • Identify upcoming opportunities for Cybertrol sales and occasional assistance with proposal generation

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • BS Degree in Engineering
  • 5+ years of related experience

DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience leading engineering project teams in industrial control system integration or manufacturing environments
  • Recognized Project Management certificate
  • Experience with multiple project management methodologies, including waterfall, Lean Startup, Agile and Scrum

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Strong interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills
  • High level of professionalism, well organized, efficient and detail oriented
  • Flexibility to travel up to 10%
  • Must be effective at overcoming resistance and able to work independently
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Maintain proficiency in using MS Office and Cybertrol internal applications

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
