Position Purpose:

Responsible for the professional and timely delivery of Company products, other products and 2nd or 3rd party vendor products. This is a highly visible position which requires the employee to have excellent communication skills and capable of building on customer relationships. Ensure that we meet/exceed customer expectations for timely delivery of quality product utilizing good general business practices that are in full compliance with any state or federal requirements.

Essential Functions:

1. Follows all DOT regulations and guidelines. including being properly placarded, filling out required logbook and trip tickets.

2. Responsible for reporting all moving violations, citations and accidents immediately to the Plant Manager.

3. Load and unload all deliveries in a safe and professional manner. Loads should be secured internally and externally by the driver. Ensure the Bill of Lading matches the customer's product order.

4. Required to wear the necessary safety equipment and clothing while delivering and handling chemicals. Must take necessary precautions to avoid bodily injury to anyone.

5. Responsible for performing pre-trip vehicle inspections and completing required reports. The Truck Driver will also keep required maintenance current, maintain cleanliness of vehicle and report any mechanical problems.

6. Will follow-up with the Logistics Planner or Plant Manager or to get delivery schedules.

7. May be required to pick up empty containers from customers; completing necessary paperwork.

8. Checks with customers for any problems with the products, or if the Company can provide any additional product or technical assistance.

9. Responsible for Continuous Improvement in all aspects of production.

10. May be required to occasionally work evening and weekend hours as needed to ensure proper completion of duties.

11. Over-night travel will be required including approximately 6 - 10 overnight truck runs.

12. Small plant maintenance projects will be assigned, and completed, during non-driving periods.

13. All other duties as assigned.

Skills:

1. Requires a Class A CDL with Hazardous and Tanker Endorsements. A current medical card and random drug testing are mandatory.

2. Must have a good driving record and be qualified by the Company insurance carrier.

3. Proficient forklift skills required.

4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attentive and timely in responses.

5. Good follow up and ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously without getting flustered.

6. Collaborative and cooperative work style internally and externally with a can do attitude.

7. Excellent problem solver who sees solutions instead of obstacles.

8. Familiarity with MS Office software and strong computer skills.

9. Some mechanical skills required.

10. Excellent attendance record required.

Physical Requirements:

1. Able to walk regularly around the production floor and office areas, including climbing steps and also occasionally climbing on a ladder.

2. Able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.

3. Able to bend, squat, sit and stand.

4. Able to drive for extended periods of time.
