Colonial Pipeline is the largest refined products pipeline in the United States, transporting more than 100 million gallons or 2.5 million barrels per day. Colonial transports various grades of gasoline, diesel fuel, home heating oil, jet fuel, and fuels for the U.S. military through a pipeline system. Colonial transports approximately 45 percent of all fuel consumed on the East Coast, providing refined products to more than 50 million Americans. About the Field Project Manager Position As a Field Project Manager, you will lead, and coordinate required internal and external interfaces and perform the project management and administrative activities necessary to successfully complete assigned projects. The Field Project Manager resolves project issues with contractors and other stakeholders that may impede the successful execution of project activities. The Field Project Manager understands and has experience in the practical application of project management techniques and methodologies. What You Get to Do: Assemble and lead an integrated project team that is aligned with the business purpose of the project. Lead the planning, design, execution, and closing of a variety of projects from inception through completion. Determine an appropriate contracting strategy for the required external resources; identify and secure the assignment of necessary internal resources. Leading the effort in preparing and securing approval of decision support packages to pass through the gate process. Ensure assigned project staff clearly understand their roles and responsibilities. Monitor the overall project tasks for compliance with project requirements and adherence to the approved scope, budget, and schedule What You Bring to the Table: Bachelors Degree in Engineering or other related fields of study from an accredited college or university; will consider a combination of experience and/or education. Ideally, 6 years of project management experience and approximately, and approximately 2 years of pipeline/oil/gas, construction, and maintenance management experience. Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record to drive company and personal vehicles to perform required tasks. Ability to travel up to 50% of the time. Ability to be on-call 24/7 and expected to respond to emergencies. Apply fundamentals of proven project management practices and processes, including the 9 project management knowledge areas described in A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK ). Basic level knowledge of regulatory compliance. Must be aware of hazards associated with field facilities and the oil/gas pipeline industry.
