What you will do
You will play a pivotal role on the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team for JCI's Product Business Unit. This strategic individual will develop and improve business process to deliver results consistent with long-term business objectives. We are looking fr someone who will provide direction, training and counseling to PBU leaders on a wide variety of business/financial issues to ensure achievement of performance targets. Successful execution will require deep expertise in financial reporting systems (SAP/HFM), ability to lead and direct performance of analysts at offshore business centers and build effective working relationships with operational finance teams and other business partners.
How you will do it
Proactively works with the leadership team to improve actual financial results consistent with operating plan commitments and objectives.
Finance Leader for Product Management Initiatives like new product introductions (NPIs).
Help align product strategy to business objectives and ensure accountability for delivery of business case results.
Supports Sales Finance team and sales forecasting, tracking and reporting. Financial Lead for PBUs ancillary operations ie Training Center, Product Modification Center, Buy-Resell Product operations.
Deliver financial targets for these operations through improving foundational finance processes and driving a P&L mindset with non-financial employees
Manage the HQ SGA and Cost of sales budgets and lead teams providing periodic reporting/financial forecasts to department owners Identify and complete projects to deliver HQ cost savings/productivity (eg IT Costs, Facility costs etc.)
Work closely with the JCI Business Centers to monitor & problem solve issues with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and other trade working capital Lead Financial analysis for JCI's Transformation office including validation of business cases, savings forecasts & monthly variance analysis for key business initiatives
Performs special studies and analyses as needed
Ensure adherence to Corporate and Divisional accounting/internal control procedures, SOX compliance and reporting requirements
What we look for
10- 15+ years progressive finance and accounting experience
Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to add new value to commercial performance
Financial control over at least $0.5 billion in sales annually
Excellent communications skills, including considerable experience in written and oral reports and presentations to high-level management
