SUMMARY:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing Putzmeister's Precast Market in the Americas and Canada. He/She will identify leads, educate prospects on our product through calls, presentations, exceptional support, and active engagement. The Sales Manager will establish new accounts over the phone, online and through face-to-face meetings and sell products. In addition, he/she will consult large scale project on concrete logistics

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  1. Identify Precast Leads through internet or other means of research
  2. Arrange for on-site customer visits, often through cold calling
  3. Create, plan, and deliver presentations on company products
  4. Consult the customer on concrete logistics, tailor-made to their specific requirements
  5. Communicate with appropriate departments within PMA to coordinate job site specific technical and commercial solutions
  6. Prepare quotations for equipment identified
  7. Give Sales forecast on monthly basis
  8. Close deals and turn lead into a customer
  9. Manage constant contact with target accounts to drive awareness and purchase; prove market engagement through well-defined/tracked sales planning tool
  10. Engagement in industry through NPCA and PCI
  11. Active promotion of Putzmeister Precast Solutions through exhibitions and social media
  12. Creation of job site reports for use in Putzmeister internal communications as well as external marketing material
  13. Drive special design activities with PMA and PEG, when required
  14. Coordinate with other team members and departments to optimize the sales effort
  15. Consult Customers on large scale projects in regard to concrete logistics
  16. Support other Sales Colleagues on placing boom and BSA questions, mainly in regard to large scale project
  17. Support sister companies with their Telebelt Sales

    MARGINAL DUTIES:
  • Perform additional duties, assignments and special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

Education/certifications and/or experience required:

  • Prior experience in Concrete or Precast Industry is helpful
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • 10-year Equipment Sales experience
  • College Degree in Business, marketing, communications, engineering, or related field

Professional knowledge and expertise required:

  • Familiarity with concrete pumping products, product applications, pricing procedures, and sales policies, required
  • Excellent written and verbal skills required, including good negotiation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required
  • Highly self-motivated, self-disciplined, confident, and positive
  • The ability to quickly build trust and rapport with customers, leaders, and associates at every level.
  • Demonstrated ability to be personable, professional, responsive, knowledgeable, credible, trusted and drive value to an organization.
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated individual, meeting deadlines, able to work well independently and in a team environment

Computer/ Software Skills and Experience:

  • Must be proficient in general Windows applications and MS Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access)
  • Experience with SAP, Salesforce, AutoCAD & Revit helpful

Additional Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid driver's license.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, bend, and use hands to finger, handle, or touch; frequently required to push and pull.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, peripheral, and the ability to focus.

Willingness to Travel:

  • 75% preferred

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is in a typical office or shop environment; occasionally exposed to noise, dust, and chemicals. Safety glasses/goggles must be always worn while in shop or yard.
