Responsibilities: Candidate may work remote within the State of Kentucky or may work out of our Lexington Office. Responsible for the development of highway and interstate bridge design projects. Direct and/or perform structural engineering calculations from preliminary to final design. Direct and/or develop plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates. Attend on-site and off-site client meetings throughout Kentucky and other states, as necessary. Coordinate with project staff, other disciplines and sub-consultants, Department, and reviewers to ensure accuracy and quality of work. Manage and maintain project documentation, including meeting project schedules, budgets, and scope Responsible for client development and fostering relationships with existing and new clients. Lead and/or assist in proposal, scope of work, and fee schedule preparation Responsible for management of operating and marketing budgets, goal setting, determining scope of work, estimating fees, and preparing proposals and contracts on projects. Schedule work for team members to deliver projects on time and on budget. Ensure efficient and productive utilization of staff in providing high-quality service. Responsible for managing sub-consultants. Responsible for the hiring, supervision, development, and evaluation of engineering support staff. Requirements: 10 + years of structural engineering experience BSCE in Structural Engineering is required, MSCE is a plus Kentucky P.E. license is required Must be located in Kentucky KYTC bridge design experience with preventative maintenance, rehabilitation and reconstruction of existing steel and concrete bridges and plan preparation. Proficient in plan development and industry design software accepted by KYTC. Experience in engineering projects to be able to analyze project progress in conformance with project budgets, quality, scope of work, client, and sub-consultant issues. Able to prepare or assist in the preparation of proposals, scope of work, and fee schedules Able to prepare or assist in the preparation and maintenance of client reporting such as status reports and other writing or verbal communications to the client Managerial and Project Management experience Business and client development experience Advanced knowledge of project management, marketing, and team building principles Advanced level of technical writing and communication skills Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) Commitment Aligning our overall business objectives with performance, we offer competitive salaries, performance-based incentives, and a wide variety of benefits programs to address the diverse individual needs of our employees and their families.
