The Technical Program Manager (TPM) will be supporting our Excellerate and EnTech divisions. The TPM is deeply strategic in nature, with a focus on long-term, big picture processes and initiatives intended to meet FTI's business goals. TPMs must be able to develop and execute programs that can accomplish any aspect of the business's larger strategy, and, as such, an enthusiasm for high-level planning and strategic thinking is the cornerstone of being a successful technical program manager. The TPM will be part of a tightly knit group of Engineers, Designers, QA, and other Product managers and will be responsible for the execution and delivery of new product/functionality launches. The Technical Program Manager will work closely with Engineering and other cross-functional Leadership Teams to ensure that programs have proper resource allocation, develop timelines, and manage project budgets, communicate Engineering Team's progress and status; and execute projects to meet agreed-upon timelines, cost, and quality targets. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing projects leveraging project management industry standard tools and methodologies from initial design through support of manufacturing and construction in dynamic manufacturing and construction environments. The ideal candidate must have experience in leading, motivating, and managing technically based cross-functional teams in accomplishing projects with notable impact(s) on company objectives. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor's in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with Project Management Professional (PMP) certification Experience: Minimum of 10 years Engineering, Electrical, HWR, SWR, FWR Design Engineer Experience. Minimum of 8+ years of Project Management experience. MBA, Program Management Professional (PgMP) and additional technical certifications, a plus. Travel: 10-15% Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Uncovers and understands customer needs and translates them into requirements. Able to work well with internal teams, including engineers, quality assurance, and operations. Ensures requirements are fully understood and that implementation plans match expectations. Understands, researches, and follows technology trends in the industry and in general. Able to assess emerging products and companies to measure their potential value or threat to the company and its products and make recommendations on which new technologies to invest in or leverage. Follows competitors and conducts capability analysis regularly. Provides internal and customer training on how to use the product. Point of contact for incoming questions about the product and its capabilities. Assesses and addresses technical product and competent level risks. Understands and analyzes data pipelines, algorithms, and automated systems. Serves as a product evangelist and subject matter expert to the technical/developer community. Coordinates beta tests, UL testing, and pre-launch testing activities. Uses database queries to analyze performance indicators, evaluates experiments, etc. Defines success criteria for testing and product acceptance. Facilitates the creation and maintenance of proper product documentation. Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
