We are looking for a DESIGN ENGINEER to be based at our TESCOM facility in Elk River, Minnesot a who will be responsible for design and implementation of product improvements and cost reduction projects.

AS A DESIGN ENGINEER, YOU WILL:

  • Provide technical product design support to Engineering, Operations, Suppliers, Customers and Sales.
  • Assist application engineering in areas of material selection, temperature/pressure limits, etc.
  • Evaluate special order detail requests with customer service and sales support.
  • Complete design and implementation of new products, special orders, special drawings, product improvements and extensions.
  • Evaluate applicable standards and complete necessary applications for certification.
  • Performs design calculations, basic finite element and CFD analyses.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • BS Degree in Engineering required
  • 0-3+ years or relevant engineering experience
  • High mechanical aptitude
  • Knowledge in material sciences and application
  • Project Management skills
  • Ability to read drawings and communicate drawing changes
  • Customer service oriented with good written and verbal skills to facilitate effective communication of technical ideas
  • Interpersonal skills to allow one to work with a wide range of people at all levels
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally of the time
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future


PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering desired.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience (pressurized equipment, regulator, valves etc.)
  • Experience with 3D models and 2D CAD drawings, NX/AutoCad preferences.
