Description

Lakewood Health System has an opening for a Full-Time Pharmacy Technician II.

The Pharmacy Technician II assists pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient records. The Pharmacy Technician II works under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Primary duties of this position include IV and chemotherapy preparation; filling and maintenance of Omnicell cabinets, and unit dose dispensing activities. Hospital pharmacy experience is preferred, but willing to train qualified applicants and new graduates from technician programs.

This position is full time (64-80 hours per pay period) with rotating weekends and holidays required.
Qualifications

MN Pharmacy Technician Registration or registration eligibility required.

Ability to perform mathematical calculations for IV procedures.

Analytical ability and judgment to provide information to staff and patients or refer to Pharmacist.

Interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with physicians, staff, and patients.

Maintain continuing education requirements.
