Job Description:

The ProjectManager for this position will work onsite for the St Cloud VA Medical Center(VAMC) in St Cloud Nebraska. The Project Manager will act as an Owner'sRepresentative to assist the client with delivery of design and constructionprojects. Experience with construction in a medical center setting by ProjectManager will be highly preferred.

Education and Qualifications:

??? Seven (7) years specialized experience indeveloping and maintaining complex, long term/multi-year project managementactivities.

??? Graduate of an Architectural, Engineering orConstruction Management college curriculum with a four (4) year degree OR anadditional 5 years of relevant project management experience.

Experience:

  • Experience and familiarity with Federal and local government building projects, and with procedural, review, and approval requirements.
  • Familiarity with related engineering fields, including civil, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.
  • Familiarity with International Building Code and any other codes related to their disciplines.
  • Ability to obtain VA computer access by successfully passing a security screening, which may include fingerprinting, financial, and criminal background checks
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Ability to inspect materials, workmanship, and construction and installation of various systems in the Architect's or Engineer's area of expertise.
  • Ability to interpret/coordinate Architectural/Engineering plans and specifications.
  • Ability to coordinate interdisciplinary teams of professionals.
  • Ability to use and access VA Master Specifications, Design Guides, and Design Manuals.
  • Knowledge of construction practices and techniques
  • Knowledge of safety practices in the construction industry incl. OSHA
