Job Purpose and Impact

The Regional Tax Manager will lead tax activities including tax related procedures, direct strategical input, monitoring and control of tax reporting process, tax audits and key business partnering on tax matters related to the OECD Pillar 2 tax regime. In this role, you will provide specialized technical tax advice to actively define and support corporate tax compliance processes, systems management and controls.

Key Accountabilities

  • Own the end-to-end corporate income tax life cycle with respect to OECD Pillar 2 tax regimes, including advising on corporate income tax reporting, participate in the management of uncertain positions, review the tax reserves and lead tax audits through modifying processes, procedures and controls as needed.
  • Manage the provision of information through the tax audit process, including leading the responses to audit inquiries, identifying Embedded tax technical issues and providing strategic input to manage tax risk and reviewing internal tax compliance policies and processes to ensure compliance.
  • Define new tax positions, policies, procedures and controls which will have a long-lasting impact and heavily influence the future course of the organization in response to changes in tax rules and regulations through in depth tax technical research and application to the facts.
  • Lead international tax projects and the team members involved to ensure implementation in the designated country and consult and provide breadth expertise on system changes, business reorganizations, impact and projects and document conclusions.
  • Coach and train other members of the tax department on tax policies, procedures and controls.
  • Provide expertise with local tax teams by monitoring legislation and contribute to best practices to ensure efficiency and impact to the organization.
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of four years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of seven years of related work experience
  • Experience with a big four accounting firm, major law firm or multinational company
  • Knowledge of ASC 740 and general US GAAP principles
  • Excellent tax research skills with the ability to quickly conceptualize and communicate tax rules
  • Experience presenting and communicating complex tax issues and solutions to both tax and non-tax leaders
  • Experience with US International tax issues - Subpart F/GILTI
  • Experience drawing on multiple data sets to develop complex tax models
