Mechanical Design Engineer

Advent Tool and Manufacturing, a leader in its industry, is currently filling a full-time position for a Mechanical Design Engineer.

Advent Tool is a manufacturer of industrial cutting tools and specialty milling tools that utilize innovative manufacturing technologies and produce the highest quality industrial cutting tools. Advent Tool's unique environment requires its employees to perform a variety of tasks and allows certain cross-training opportunities; expanding their understanding of the full manufacturing process while adding to their personal experiences.

Prime Responsibilities :

• Create conceptual and engineering drawings utilizing Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD Inventor
• Assist in the design and inspection of first run and production tooling using industry standard measuring devices.
• Work with managers to provide engineering support for existing product lines.
• Provide process development and engineering support for new product development and cost reduction projects.
• Coordinate and implement SPC measurement systems.
• Work with management to create engineering designs and drawings on tight timelines within acceptable tolerances and specifications.

Requirements :

• • Minimum of three (3) years related experience as a Mechanical Designer, Manufacturing Engineer, or Mechanical Engineering Technician in a manufacturing environment that produced tight tolerances, intricate products.
  • Minimum of 1000 hours of CAD design and drawing using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
  • Understanding of CNC man ufacturing process and equipment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and able to engage in cross department collaboration for the benefit of increasing efficiencies company wide.
  • Independently organize for daily tasks, define, and meet deadlines, exhibit problem-solving skills with minimal assistance.
  • Tolerance of multi-cultural language barriers and versatile business ideals.
