Senior System Administrator

Position Overview

The Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for server and systems administration and development, enterprise application implementation and maintenance, and higher-level troubleshooting and support.

Responsibilities

Must be able to...
  • Provide mentoring support for complex issues.
  • Be the go-to person.
  • Be a big picture thinker.
  • Take high level (and often vague) tasks and break them into small well-defined tasks.
  • Help deal with company-wide concerns.
  • Collaborate with teams at a more senior level.
  • Help lead the design efforts for new system development.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Minimum/Essential Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Typically, 4-8 years of experience in System Administrator roles.
  • Provide support for complex issues.
  • Must be detail oriented, have excellent communication skills, and professionalism.
  • Ability to prioritize, initiate action, and build relationships within the department.
  • Trusted to work independently.
  • Excellent customer service, problem solving & organizational skills.
  • Ability to gain knowledge and information relevant to business needs in order to achieve results.
  • Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse and screen.
  • Generally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your body.
  • Must demonstrate the following behavioral competencies; analytical capacity, attention to detail, communication proficiency, continuous learning, customer/client focus, developing others, ethical conduct, information seeking, initiative, manages execution, personal effectiveness/credibility, positive attitude, problem solving, professionalism, project management, relationship building, thoroughness, and time management.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
