Play a critical role in keeping patients, visitors and staff safe at the hospital in Wisconsin.
We are seeking a Security Officer to:
Patrol hospital grounds and assist visitors with directions and act as the first responder to emergencies and disturbances.
Interact with law enforcement, patients, visitors and staff about security or safety issues.
Properly document daily activities and incident reports, using computer software programs.
Monitor and operate access control systems, security camera systems, intercoms, two-way radios, telephones, and alarm systems.
Education :
Minimum - High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred - Associate Degree or progress towards a degree in criminal justice field or a Bachelor's Degree in any other field of study.
Work Experience :
Minimum - One (1) year relevant experience or appropriate preferred education requirements.
Preferred - Experience in healthcare security, corporate security, or law enforcement.
Licenses and Certifications :
Minimum - Valid Driver's License and completion of IAHSS Basic Certification within six months of hire.
Ability to be insured by Hospital's risk management insurer which requires (1) a valid Wisconsin Driver's License, (2) successfully passing a driving background check (3) must be 21 years of age.

This posting represents open positions that are part-time, 20 hours per week, scheduled to work first shift (day, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm), second shift (afternoon/evening, 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm) or third shift (night, 11:00 pm to 7:00 am). Rotating days off, weekends and holidays are required. Hours may vary based on the needs of the department
