Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide CAD services for engineered molds and parts, marketing, and engineered segmental retaining wall drawings and special APG projects. This person will maintain drawing structure and procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare design plans using AutoCAD and specifications under engineering supervision.
  • Design retaining wall layouts with assistance from the design engineer of record.
  • Maintain drawing repository.
  • Work with sales and marketing departments in preparation of brochures and technical manuals.
  • Adhere to and update drafting procedures and revision control.
  • Stay current with CAD software updates and recommend future systems for Anchor Diamond.
  • Work with all APG companies and their customers to explain Anchor Diamond drafting policies and procedures.
  • Use electronic communication to send drawings to engineers, architects and licensees as directed by the design engineer
  • Maintain a general understanding of retaining wall design.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Requirements/Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required/Associates Degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience with AutoCAD/Autodesk Inventor/SOLIDWORKS.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Flexible and adaptable in regard to learning and understanding new technologies.
  • Logical, technically proficient, and self-motivated. Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in team settings andd the ability to work in a "hands-on" manner.
  • Strong interpersonal and listening skills, with an ability to interact effectively and professionally at all levels.
  • Good decision-making ability and research skills.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with others, and to reach compromise when needed.
  • Advanced computer experience, particularly with Microsoft Office products.
