Job DescriptionThe Sales Consultant role supports and manages a designated geographic territory to promote sales for Ameriprise Banking & Cash Solutions through proactive outreach with geographically aligned advisors and field leaders with a secondary purpose of providing support through an inbound telephone queue. Represents the BCS team at internal meetings and in the field as needed.ResponsibilitiesMeet sales activity expectations by using product and process knowledge to increase advisor sales in Securities-Based and Home Lending solutions, Ameriprise Certificates, Credit Cards, Personal Trust Services, and other products/services as directed.Conduct sales activity through proactive outreach with geographically aligned advisors & field leaders, incoming correspondence from advisors and staff and assigned campaign tasks.Educate field leaders and advisors on the comprehensive Banking and Cash Solution set. Provide end to end education from product benefits to application process and/or client experience. Training delivered via multiple channels including teleconference, video conference and in-person presentations at conferences, events and other sites visits that may require travel.Develop territory sales plan to include targeted contacts, segmentation of advisors, sales activity model week, and peer-to-peer champion coaching program.Support of sales team manager and other department management on various projects/assignments.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience.5+ years of direct sales experience and experience in the financial, banking or mortgage industry.Solid understanding of financial planning process & experience working with financial advisors.Excellent communication & presentation skills.Proven ability to quickly build & establish credibility & relationships.Extensive experience/knowledge in financial services industry particularly in lending, cash management and trust services.Active Series 7 or ability to obtain within 120 days from hire date.Active State securities agent registration (S63 or S66) or ability to obtain within 120 days from hire date.Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of Ameriprise Financial.Knowledge of banking products, including lending, personal trust services, credit cards, and cash products.About Our CompanyAt Ameriprise Financial, we're not just in the business of helping clients with their financial goals - we also help our advisors and employees reach their true potential by embracing an inclusive and collaborative culture.
