WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER The Deputy Chapter Director for Culture & Operations (DCD) will develop a strong and inclusive culture within the MN, ND, SD Chapter and is responsible for leading the chapter's operations, human resources and finance functions. The DCD is a strategic leader and works in collaboration with Chapter leadership to foster an authentic Chapter culture and develops strategies to create a more inclusive and diverse workplace. Facilitating connections among colleagues spread across three states and in an increasing virtual world is paramount. The DCD has oversight responsibility for the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice Work Group and has oversight responsibilities for talent management and HR-related issues, including leadership and staff development programs, employee relations, recruiting activities, onboarding and orientation, performance management and provides guidance to others in satisfying administrative requirements. Duties can be highly confidential and require broad and comprehensive knowledge of TNC's policies. The DCD provides overall direction and leadership for the finance team including the development and implementation of annual budgets and manages the processes for annual workforce planning. The DCD also provides overall direction/leadership for all activities related to administration, facilities, information systems, office management and safety within the Chapter. They are responsible for developing operational guidelines to ensure efficient management of the program and compliance with regulations. They will be responsible for ensuring that programmatic work is a collaborative and well-integrated effort across the Chapter. They will manage vendor relationships as needed. They will reinforce consistency in TNC's policies and procedures and provide direction related to operations. They will work with teams to establish and track measures that are indicators of progress and success. The DCD will provide advice and guidance and oversee training programs related to finance and operations. They will lead diverse activities, develop processes, project outcomes, and initiate solutions in order to improve effectiveness. They will serve as team leader for the enhancement of systems and tools used by the team. The DCD will leverage constructive and effective relationships with a wide range of people, including senior management, public and private sector colleagues, and partners including financial/legal advisors and others. The DCD is the direct supervisor of approximately 4-5 operations leaders and oversees the operations team of approximately 7-9 professionals. They serve on the Chapter's Leadership Team (LT) and are supervised by the Chapter Director. The preferred job location is the Twin Cities metro area in Minnesota. The starting salary range for this position is $118,000 - $125,000 dependent on experience. WE'RE LOOKING FOR YOU Are you looking for work you can believe in? WHAT YOU'LL BRING Bachelor's degree and 8 years related experience or equivalent combination, including 3 years managing operations functions. Experience incorporating diversity, equity and inclusion into organizations, programs, projects, and/or teams. Exceptional supervisory experience, including inspiring, leading, setting objectives, and managing performance of a large team. Experience responding to HR related questions and problems from employees/management. Experience analyzing financial reports and interpreting data. Experience developing and administering departmental budget or equivalent. Experience managing and supervising a multidisciplinary team. Experience developing, managing and implementing multiple projects and strategic goals. Experience working with cross-functional teams across multiple organizational levels. Experience, coursework, or other training in principles, practices, and procedures of relevant field. Experience maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information. Fluent English is required for programs outside the United States. In addition to these qualifications, we appreciate candidates that will bring a diversity of experience to our team.
