In response to a secondary principle, Constantly Learning, TRS is now offering a new role as Alternative Pathway Teacher to passionate Instructional Aides and paraprofessionals looking to obtain their teaching certifications. Requirement to enroll in an alternative pathway program to licensure:
Do so within 60 days of offer letter or at the program's next start date
Candidates can choose from a variety of programs approved by DPI. These include options at UW Campuses, CESA organizations and American Board. More information can be found at the below links:

Selection of a program must be one approved by DPI and completed outside of regular school day hours
TRS will pay up to, but not to exceed, $2,000.00, directly to the applicant's selected program
Commitment of 1 year of employment from date of program payment
If candidate fails to retain employment for 1 year, reimbursement will be due and payable in full upon separation
Compensation Package
$45,000 starting salary
Increase to $48,000 upon completion of program and full DPI licensure
Eligible for annual pay review
Work is salaried hours following the teacher work schedule
Paid Teacher PTO for breaks and non-teaching summer hours
40 hours of personal PTO per year, front loaded in September
Qualifications:
Qualifications to apply and be interviewed:
Open to any MyPath employee or external hire
Must hold, minimum Bachelor's degree and interest in teaching in a classroom
Must be in good performance standing with TRS - no attendance or performance issues rising to the level of a written warning
Must have the ability to be approved for a License with Stipulations by DPI
TRS will pay for the licensure application fee on behalf of the selected applicant
