Summary

As a Senior Programmer you will be analyzing, processing, and presorting client data and converting data into usable files for the production departments and client analytics. You will excel at working in a team environment and in managing multiple tasks while meeting critical deadlines. You will create variable data and composition jobs for new projects, document and/or train new processes/procedures, and support existing jobs as needed.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Communicate courteously and effectively any problems, issues, and questions to client services regarding individual projects.
  • Use various software products to manipulate, analyze, and output data as production ready files.
  • Use various software products for variable document composition and output production ready files.
  • Utilize available tools and/or programs to automate and standardize workflow when applicable.
  • Be responsible for accurate time tracking and ensuring all quality standards are met and all documentation is consistent.
  • Document Standard Operating Procedures for client mailing programs

Job Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to learn new programs quickly
  • Skills in working with various software packages such as: Quadient Inspire (formerly GMC Inspire/GMC PrintNet), BCC Mail Manager, Postalsoft/Firstlogic, Group 1, Adobe Acrobat, Fusion Pro
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Superior oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to have a well-structured conversation
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment with superb time management skills
  • Creative and strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to keep information confidential

Education and/or Experience
  • High school education or general education degree (GED) or equivalent
  • Five (5) years professional experience is required
  • College degree in related field preferred

Physical Demands
  • This is a sedentary role which requires the following physical activities: reaching, sifting, lifting, finger desterity, grasping, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual acuity. Repetitive motions include typing/keying, using a computer, mouse, opening or closing drawers, opening closing binders. Must be able to lift and carry small packages, job tickets. Hearing and eyesight sufficient to perform routine computer work
