Connexus Energy is looking for a skilled problem solver and people leader to join our team as our Manger, Electric Operations Services. Day to day responsibilities for the Manager, Electric Operations Services include providing leadership to multiple teams including, construction scheduling, builder support, locating and field design/staking. This role will also be responsible for project work including the implementation of new design software, evaluating existing business processes and driving efficiencies. Our ideal candidate will support this work by fostering collaboration amongst teams and providing leadership aligning with our corporate culture.

Key Responsibilities & Results:

  • Manage the planning and scheduling of maintenance and capital construction work.
  • Oversee the design of the cooperative's distribution system through the Distribution Design group.
  • Manage the underground utility locating work function.
  • Lead software implementations and related process improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Lead daily ongoing activities to ensure effective department operations.
  • Lead the strategic thinking and project management of enterprise-wide initiates which impact team's responsibilities.
  • Establish and maintain the department budget.

  • Leadership - Experience with direct and indirect leadership through the use of excellent collaboration, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills. Experience working with and guiding contractors and managing contracts.
  • Communication - Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate and present to all levels within the organization.
  • Project Sponsorship - Ability to own projects and provide resources to enable project success.
  • Process Improvement - Capability to Identify, analyze and improve existing business process to optimize performance
  • Technical Skills - Strong computer skills in standard office applications as well as enterprise systems.

Required Talents, Skills, Expertise, Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, construction management, engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in utilities, construction, manufacturing or related field.

Preferred Talents, Skills, Expertise and Education:

  • Electric utility experience
  • Current and valid driver's license
