C.H. Robinson is seeking a Financial Analyst on our growing Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis team (FP&A), to provide valuable decision and planning support to business units and shared services leadership. In this role, you will support the creation of business cases on key initiatives and act as a partner in forecasting and planning for an area of the business. You will receive exposure to strategic business decisions, complex model building, and sound financial management. This is a position that will help evolve FP&A at C.H. Robinson, generating significant value and paving the path for future FP&A advancement companywide.

Our combination of work from home and work in office puts you in the driver's seat to best navigate all that your busy life demands. To ensure you have what you need to be successful, we provide an in-person onboarding process. After that, you are all set to work remotely and in-office when needed.

Responsibilities:

Help support annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting processes

Partner with Manager and team in following up and enhancing budgeting and forecast outcomes

Support the team in working with stakeholders to provide guidance and data-driven recommendations on financial planning and strategic decisions

Review financial information on how it impacts specific stakeholders

Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial management reports

Use month-end financial information from the Finance team to aid in preparation of monthly variance analysis and insights

Support team in analysis of business results

Support cash flow analysis and financial modeling for key projects to understand return-on investment (ROI) and financial projections for key projects

Perform analysis to highlight key, actionable areas for improvement

Support process improvement initiatives to key financial planning and analysis activities

Support ad hoc FP&A projects as requested

Assist in the development and implementation of tools, systems, and processes to support the successful completion of forecasts and for routine analytical reviews of company financial and operational performance

Has general knowledge of key concepts of financial planning and analysis activities

Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related major

Minimum 1 years of relevant professional experience in Financial Planning & Analysis or other Finance-related roles

Ability to read and interpret financial statements including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Statement of Cash Flows

Preferred Qualifications:

Data analytics, financial analysis, and accounting skills

Proficient in Excel

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong organization, attention-to-detail, and problem-solving skills

Self-starter, innovator, and positive team player with the ability to work with little or no supervision

Team oriented and thrives in a collaborative environment

Deadline and time management oriented and able to manage multiple competing priorities

Thrives working autonomously in a rapidly changing, fast-paced, results-oriented environment

Ability to motivate and encourage change, able to get positive results in a very large, dispersed organization
