Job Information

The District Sales Specialist position is designed as a fast-track training ground to become a Doosan Bobcat District Manager. (District Managers manage a territory and work with our dealerships to deliver quality experiences to customers.)
In this position, you will travel around the country shadowing District Managers and Product Trainers to learn all about Doosan Bobcat products, the dealer network, sales programs, and what makes Doosan Bobcat the leading compact equipment company in the world. You will have the opportunity to operate and train on Doosan Bobcat compact construction equipment. You will work face to face with Doosan Bobcat dealerships and Sales Specialists while employed directly under a regional sales director. You will also build relationships at our corporate office to insure you have a solid network of team members to help you be successful as an Account Manager. This is a remote position with preferred location near a major airport in the United States.

Role & Responsibility

District Manager Support
  • Assist with dealer credit and rebate questions for machine and attachment sales. 
  • Facilitate the backend execution of territory specific sales programs. 
  • Facilitate machine transfers to fulfill retail sales.
  • Locate and secure equipment for large sales deals out of dealer inventory.
  • Work with Sales Specialists regarding questions on their Performance Club Account.
  • Support the government municipal bid sales process and program. 

Product Training 
  • Conduct field trainings such as regional product meetings, dealer call-ins, targeted field trainings and other training events on Bobcat Company’s products. 
  • Effectively deliver content to large and small audiences in formal and informal settings.

Dealer & Customer Interactions
  • Provide timely and accurate answers on product, market, and system related questions.
  • Professionally represent Bobcat Company at product demonstrations, dealer open houses, field trainings, trade shows and other events.

Systems Support
  • Utilize Bobcat Company’s inventory system and reports to identify dealer product stocking gaps.  
  • Utilize Bobcat Company’s market share and market data systems to help identify territory specific sales opportunity areas.


Job Requirement

 
  • Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Engineering, Business administration, or related major. 
  • Experience Required: 1-2 years.
  • Ability to independently deliver Bobcat training programs.
  • A background/aptitude in agricultural, construction or industrial motorized, mobile equipment.
  • Willing to relocate in 12-24 months to one of Bobcat's sales territories within the U.S.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and performance driven.
  • Proficient in data mining, research, and analysis.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications. 
  • Valid driver's license with clean Department of Motor Vehicle driving record.
  • Travel Required: 50%+.

This salary range for this position is $49,762 - $68,422 depending on experience and other factors.

What skills, education, and experiences does your ideal candidate(s) have?

•Education Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
•These are entry level opportunities
•Must be able to follow established methods and procedures and perform work accordingly. Must have the ability to work rapidly and under time pressure for extended periods of time in order to meet build requirements. Must possess the ability to read build sheets and blueprints.
•The ability to communicate with supervisors and fellow workers in both written and verbal forms at a level normally acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or GED is required.
•Job specific skills, techniques and safe work and equipment operating practices are learned through on-the-job and classroom training. General instructions are given on recurring duties, operations and assignments; detailed instructions are given on new duties, operations and assignments.
