The Red River Zoo is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Office Manager & Volunteer Coordinator to oversee the daily operations of our administrative office. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a proven track record of managing an office in a fast-paced environment.

This is a full-time hourly position with benefits that works Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the administrative office, including but not limited to scheduling, record-keeping, and communication with other departments. Oversee the zoo's bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Track donations to the Zoo and issue donation receipts to donors in a timely manner. Assist HR department with onboarding and offboarding of employees. Coordinate volunteer programs and activities, including recruiting, training, scheduling, and supervising volunteers. Provide administrative support to the Zoo President & CEO, including drafting correspondence, preparing reports, and other duties as assigned. Assist with operating the admissions desk during the off-season.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience as an office manager, bookkeeper, or similar role. Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities. Experience in volunteer management and coordination. Passion for conservation and interest in animal welfare is a plus.
