The City of Neenah is seeking a full time Mechanic Assistant / Building Attendant. Responsibilities: This position's primary responsibility is to assist personnel in the fleet maintenance department by performing basic automotive repairs and maintenance. Also, provides general cleaning services of building and grounds, vehicles, and equipment. Examples of responsibilities include: Schedules oil and filter changes, maintenance, washes and cleans various vehicles and equipment. Checks and addresses any found issues for all vehicles regarding oil, anti-freeze, hydraulic fluid, tire wear, and flat tires. Performs and/or assists in routine maintenance on building mechanical systems. Maintain cleaning material inventory, daily fuel inspection records, and prepares reports or work orders. Performs general janitorial services, which includes but is not limited to cleaning and maintaining City Services Building, Cecil Street Garage, offices, storage, shop and restrooms areas, etc. Lock down and secure City Services building, out buildings, and any vehicles outside for the night. Monitors, cleans, and inspects oil drop off. Job Description can be found for full review at: Required Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. One to three years of additional education or experience in automotive servicing. Class B Commercial Driver's License is required before date of hire. Able to lift 50 lbs regularly. Earn Class C Underground Storage Tank certification within six months of hire. Preferred Qualifications: N endorsement (tanker) - it must be obtained within 6 months of hire. Experience with operating large trucks or construction equipment. Pay/Benefits: Position starts at $20.43 per hour.
