Starting Pay: $22.45 to $28.06 DOE

Full-time, benefited position working 80 hours per two weeks, No weekend or holidays

Reviews and reconciles general ledger accounts, accounts receivable, and accounts payable accounts and resolves any discrepancies; participates in the preparation of hospital financial statements and reports; assists in the identification and analysis of significant fluctuations in balance sheet/income and expense statement balances; acts as the lead person for accounts payable functions; maintains the Foundation's financial records. Reviews and reconciles payroll reports.


  • Collaborates in preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
  • Prepares selected month-end general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Assists with preparation of audit work papers and provide information and assistance to external auditors to facilitate the audits timely and efficient completion.
  • Assists with preparation of cost report work papers and provide information and assistance to external preparers to facilitate timely and efficient completion.
  • Assists with preparation of tax return work papers and provide information and assistance to external preparers to facilitate timely and efficient completion.
  • Assists CFO with budget process. Maintain budget worksheets and reports for distribution.
  • Responsible for helping coordinate AP Clerk's daily tasks/duties and maintenance of AP files. Backup for AP invoice entry and check runs. Reviews accounts payable documents according to established procedures; identify discrepancies and take appropriate corrective action. Helps to ensure that data is compiled and processes 1099's for appropriate vendors in accordance with the provisions of the internal revenue code.
  • Maintains files for daily accounts receivable and miscellaneous posting to the general ledger; posts miscellaneous entries to the general ledger and runs reports according to established policies and procedures.
  • Maintains and reconciles Business Office cash on hand.
  • Prepare Gift Shoppe deposits and maintain deposit records.
  • Compiles and reports quarterly federal and state employee withholding tax returns.
  • Prepares quarterly sales tax returns.
  • Prepares Foundation's monthly financial reports. Responsible for the Foundation Donor Annuity Software, maintain Annuity Payable balances and Donor Annuity database. Preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of accounts and weekly deposits.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly reports to department managers through Axiom.
  • Reconciles payroll totals each pay period.
  • Prepares and reconciles monthly miscellaneous billings.
  • Prepares unclaimed property report in accordance with North Dakota code.
  • Files and verifies W-2s to appropriate entities such as Social Security Administration.
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned or requested.


Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Business Administration.

More than 12 months to two years of accounting related experience required.
