The City of New Richmond is accepting applications for a planner to help support our residents and businesses through planning and permitting processes, and guide the future development of our growing community. We are seeking a professional, team-oriented individual with a high level of accountability and attention to detail and a passion for public service.
This position allows you to interact with a variety of departments within the City. The Planner will coordinate short-term and long-term planning for the City of New Richmond and implement the City of New Richmond’s Comprehensive Plan. They will administer the City’s zoning ordinance, subdivision regulations, and site plan and design provisions, as well as support efforts and initiatives related to future land use, growth, annexation, transportation, parks and recreation, and capital improvements planning.
Minimum qualifications for the position include a bachelor’s degree in geography, planning,] urban development, architecture, construction management, engineering, environmental science, public or business administration, or another closely related field. A GIS certificate is preferred.
Two (2) years of planning experience with a municipality or a consulting firm is also preferred.
This is a full-time, exempt position. Salary range is $51,000 – 62,400 dependent upon education and experience.
