We are growing and expanding our HR team, seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to support our emergency healthcare organization with multiple locations throughout the twin cities and surrounding areas. This position works in collaboration with other members of the HR team to support diverse routine and complex day-to-day operational support for our workforce. Qualified candidate should have a positive attitude the ability to work independently or in collaboration with others in a fast paced, professional environment. Preference to candidates with ADP Workforce Now experience.

Hours: 40 hours per week, with hybrid (office/remote) option.

Days: Monday -Friday.

FSLA: Non-exempt

Preference to candidate with extensive experience with ADP Workforce Now Recruitment and experience in healthcare.

Purpose: The Human Resources Generalist assists in the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties. The HR Generalist will manage worker compensation claims, support recruitment, maintaining personnel files, manage benefits, and manage leave administration. Supports some or all the following functional areas: departmental development, HRIS, employee relations, training and development, benefits, time and attendance, and employment. This position may provide additional focused HR support as the main contact to specific employee classes to include implementation, management, policies, and programs as assigned. Works under the general supervision of the Human Resources Operations Director.

Key Result Areas: The primary responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Supports benefits administration (education, enrollment, reconciliation, adjustments, resolution, change reporting and auditing)
  • Employment cycle (recruitment, offer of employment, onboarding, orientation and separation of employment)
  • Leave of absence management (FMLA, ADA, disability, Parental Leave, Worker Compensation, personal leave)
  • Ensures adherence to administrative compliance for employee occupational health and healthcare worker immunizations as required by employee type or healthcare system.
  • Performs employee transactions and maintenance in ADP Workforce Now.
  • Carries out specific responsibilities through maintenance of effective employee relations by facilitating communications channels with departmental supervisors, business associates and employees ensuring specific program HR policies, compliance and procedures are communicated and followed.
  • Supports managers and employees on employee relations issues, including performance, corrective action, conflict resolution, counseling, performance, and terminations.
  • Keeps employee records up to date by processing employee status changes in a timely fashion.
  • Maintain personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements ensuring accuracy and maintenance of HR documents within confidential employee files.
  • Keeps up to date with process and procedures for all employee groups.
  • Actively participate in designing and facilitating learning management system (LMS) educations and trainings.
  • Supports regulatory compliance with worker compensation, affirmative action program, OSHA, EEO-1 annual report, maintains and logs information to conform to EEO regulations.
  • Files and supports employee Worker Compensation claim submission and follow-up, as necessary.
  • Participates in administrative staff meetings and other meetings and seminars as assigned.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement culture providing recommendations and implementing enhancements to current technology, methods and procedures.
