Under the direction of Sales Engineering Manager, this position will be instrumental in cultivating business relationships, providing technical solutions, and be the cornerstone of engineering

Communicate with customers directly (phone, email, onsite visitation) and address their needs directly or by referring it to the right department.
Build and maintain positive relationships with key customer accounts in the assigned sales region.
Become educated on all aspects of Vilter manufactured core products and their function in a refrigeration system.
Create formal proposals for the Outside Sales Team, contractors, and end-user.
Assess each application with sound design practices to satisfy the customer's requirements with the best product solutions.
Design, estimate cost and prepare formal proposals for loose equipment and basic refrigeration systems.
Prepare product proposals at market competitive prices while meeting the company profitability, quality standards and customer requirements.
Identify "buyout" items (i.e., purchased from 3rd parties) needed to meet customer specifications and functional requirements.
Assist in processing orders by checking all the costing and technical details for accuracy.
Act as technical resource to customers and the outside sales team by addressing questions and offering appropriate solutions.
Maintain technical competency by knowing the latest industry trends through educational courses, trade organizations and publications.
Participate in the factory training and assigned trade shows.
Meet team sales goals and engagement metrics based on company objectives and strategy.
Participate in assigned sales training, forecasting and use of CRM tools.
Other Duties as assigned.

Schedule
This role has the flexibility of a remote work option up to three days a week and a core hour schedule. You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00am - 3:00pm. Our teams work together to ensure our chosen work schedules enable our creativity and productivity as we serve the needs of our customers.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical preferred). A combination of education and experience will also be considered.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, and product specifications.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to apply concepts like probability, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and sales proposals.
Ability to communicate at both technical and commercial levels.
Ability to manage and deliver basic projects, and to multi-task while ensuring focus and high-quality work.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products like Excel, Word, etc.
Ability to learn and be proficient in the use of company network tools and resources.
Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
2 to 5 years of increasingly responsible refrigeration experience.
Ability to understand, analyze and troubleshoot mechanical and refrigeration systems
Demonstrate ability to communicate at both technical and commercial level to resolve customer issues and grow sales
Experience with sales enablement tools and customer relationship management (CRM) tools like Salesforce
