Critical Care Float RN

Description

Lakewood Health System is seeking a full-time and part-time Critical Care Float RN to join their team!

This position performs the following duties, including additional duties as deemed by their supervisor:

• Assesses patient needs and develops a plan of nursing care.
  
• Coordinates the patient's care from admission to discharge with the patient, family, physician, other team members, discharge planner, home care, and ancillary services.
  
• Implements an individual plan of care and communicates observations/progress via documentation utilizing nurses notes and shift report.
  
• Participates as a team member in the continuity and delivery of patient care.
  
• Keeps charge nurse, physician, patient and family informed of changes in patient status.
  
• Adjusts staffing as patient load changes; reports to inpatient floor when not needed in the emergency room to help with RN assessments, etc.
  

This is a full-time or part-time position working the evening shift, 7:00PM - 7:30AM. A weekend and holiday rotation schedule will apply.
Qualifications

• Must maintain active registry with the Minnesota Board of Nursing
  
• Annual CPR training is required. Certification for BLS, ACLS are required. TNCC, PALS, NRP, STABLE preferred but will be offered after hire.
  
• Professional Certification is preferred (CCRN, CEN)
