Welder (WDF)

Reports To: Leadperson

Job Summary: To assemble two or more PVC pipe components using primer and solvent cement. The solvent welder applies the primer and solvent cement to the parts with a paintbrush. 

General Duties:

1. Apply primer and solvent cement on PVC pipe, and assemble them according to established quality control guidelines.
2. Use vice grips with brackets to clamp cemented parts together if needed.
3. Accurately record completed work on welding production sheet.
4. Assist the wiper when needed.
5. Help the partsmover when directed by leadperson.
6. Clean up work area at the end of the shift. (15-min. max)
7. Follow Safe Operating Procedures and General Safety Rules.
8. Other duties as assigned by Management.

Essential Functions:

Standing for long periods of time.

Lifting up to 10 lbs, occasionally 50 lbs.

Bending and stooping.
