Primary Responsibilities:


Perform structural design tasks for industrial facilities. Assignments will be varied and can include such items as specification preparation, design and analysis calculations, detail definition, evaluation of existing facilities, construction monitoring, or on-site data gathering. Minimum 4 years practical experience with foundation design as well as industrial structural systems (steel and concrete) is required, experience with cranes or material handling devices is a plus. This position is expected to be at a level where the individual will be able to independently evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures, using judgement when making minor adaptations and modifications. Assistance would be given for unusual problems. While this is an office-based position, some travel may be required.


Minimum Academic & Professional Requirements: Minimum Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, with structural emphasis. Master's degree is preferred. Professional Engineering registration is preferred. If candidate has no existing PE credential, professional licensure would be required within one year (1) of employment.


Key Skills: Viable candidate will be a flexible and dynamic team player capable of integrating into an international team. Individuals must have excellent written and oral communication skills, along with very good organizational and project documentation habits. Candidate must have excellent analytical skills and proficiency in any one of the industry standard structural analysis programs such as: SAAP, RISA, TEKLA, or similar. AutoCad or Revit experience is a plus. Ability to provide excellent customer service, work well in a collaborative environment and demonstrate effective team building skills is a must. Spanish or German language proficiency is a plus.


Experience: 4 to 7 years' experience in structural engineering for industrial applications. Applicable experience sectors may include: Power, Manufacturing, Petrochemical, Pulp & Paper, and/or Mining. Experience with construction observation will be considered a plus.

Working Conditions: This position will work in an office environment involving computers, phones, and other personnel in close proximity. Willing to work flexible hours if needed for business purposes. This position will require some short-term travel
