Description:

Journeyman Plumber - they subcontract for Empire Homes and handler almost 100% of their new build homes (170-200 homes/year). The ideal candidate will have a strong skillset in residential and commercial installations, repair and maintenance. They work in groups of 2-3, 1 journeyman with 1-2 apprentices. They are searching for more Jouneyman at this time. This is a leadership position and they are looking for a candidate who is willing to work with and train an apprentice. Assist less experienced plumbers Install new plumbing systems, drainage systems and gas lines Evaluate blueprints and other plumbing drawings to located the position of pipes, drains, vents, water heaters and other fixtures Read directions and understand plumbing code Measure and cut pipes, metal tubing and sheet metal Make connections between pipes and fixtures Evaluate site conditions to ensure pipes and drains are installed properly Install pipes in walls, floors, trenches and crawl spaces Respond to plumbing emergencies, determining the issue and making a repair Perform preventative maintenance on building equipment and machinery

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Should be a team player and have good leadership skills. Experience in residential plumbing is preferred but will take a look at someone with commercial plumbing experience. Must have current Journeyman state and city license.
